Katie Salter is principal and senior vice president of Evensky and Katz/ Foldes Wealth Management. Katie is currently a member of the firm’s management committee. She earned her bachelor’s degree in accounting and finance from Baylor University in 2003 and is currently a licensed CPA. Prior to joining Evensky & Katz/ Foldes, she held positions in healthcare auditing, financial analysis, and as a manager of accounting for a major hospital system’s physician’s network.
Katie is the 2013 Volunteer of the Year awarded by the Volunteer Center of Lubbock. Katie joined Foster A Life board in 2013. She has been a volunteer with Hospice of Lubbock since 2006, serving on their board for two terms, and is a direct patient volunteer. In 2017, Katie received the Texas-New Mexico Hospice Association Patient Advocate of the Year. Katie has been a member of The Rotary Club of Lubbock since 2010, served as president of the club, and is currently the district foundation chair. She was chosen as the “2017 Rotarian of the Year,” awarded by Rotary International District 5730 Governor. Katie has served on the Ballet Lubbock board of directors and Rotary Club of Lubbock board of directors. Katie is currently on the Covenant Foundation board of directors and serves as treasurer on the Lubbock Symphony Orchestra board of directors. Katie is also a member of the city of Lubbock’s CIAC – Capital Improvements Advisory Committee.
Katie is a member of AICPA – American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, Lubbock Women’s Club, Baylor Women’s Network, TSCPA – Texas Society of Certified Public Accountants, and WTWCPA– West Texas Women CPA.
