Taylor Gang is a principal of Evensky & Katz/ Foldes Wealth Management and is a member of the firm’s board of managers. As a wealth manager, he works with high net-worth families and institutional clients to achieve their investment and financial planning goals. He has served on the firm’s investment committee since 2007 and is one of five voting members. He is a Certified Financial Planner™ professional and holds a certificate in Personal Financial Planning from the University of Miami. In addition, he holds the Accredited Investment Fiduciary® professional designation, awarded by the Center for Fiduciary Studies in association with the University of Pittsburgh Joseph M. Katz Graduate School of Business, for expertise in fiduciary responsibility. Mr. Gang also holds a Series 65 Investment Advisor License.
Mr. Gang is passionate about philanthropy and the opportunity to make a positive impact in our collective community. He is immediate past chairman of Make-A-Wish® Southern Florida’s board of directors and has served as a member of the executive committee and the finance/investment committee, which he co-chairs, since joining the board in 2010.
Mr. Gang became involved with Make-A-Wish® in 2009 as a volunteer wish grantor, working directly with children battling critical illnesses and their families to help deliver the healing power of a wish. He is the proudest of his contributions in this area and participates in the granting of more than 20 wishes each year as a volunteer wish grantor, donor, and foundation representative. As a board member, Mr. Gang is actively involved in governance, fundraising, and medical outreach, frequently representing the foundation in public.
Mr. Gang and his partners are active in numerous community and professional organizations, including the firm’s outreach program, Motivated Youth, which aims to help develop the next generation of philanthropists by promoting philanthropy among junior high and high school students. He is a member of the Financial Planning Association (FPA), the Greater Miami Jewish Federation, the Miami-Dade/Broward Chapter of the American Jewish Committee and he volunteers as a mentor through the University of Miami Hillel.
Mr. Gang was born in Providence, Rhode Island, and grew up in Miami, Florida, attending Gulliver Preparatory School before graduating from Bowdoin College in Brunswick, Maine, with a degree in music. He lives in Miami with his wife and two daughters and his passions include philanthropy, sports, cycling, triathlon, sailing, skiing, tennis, opera, international travel, and collecting wine.
