Brett Horowitz is a principal and wealth manager at Evensky & Katz / Foldes Financial Wealth Management and is currently helping individuals and institutions achieve their investment and financial planning goals. Mr. Horowitz is a member of the EK-FF Board of Managers and is a member of the firm’s planning committee. He is very proficient in Social Security planning, his research has helped numerous clients receive additional Social Security benefits, and he has presented these strategies to a wide range of accounting firms for continuing education credits. He also belongs to the Miami-Dade County Financial Planning Association (FPA) and is a board member and Treasurer of the Coral Gables Art Cinema. He has been quoted in many national publications such as The Wall Street Journal, Barron’s, Smart Money, and Bankrate.com.
Mr. Horowitz is a Certified Financial Planner™ and Accredited Investment Fiduciary (AIF®) licensee and received his Bachelor of Science in finance at the Rutgers University School of Business. Prior to joining Evensky & Katz in 2005, he had been working as a financial planner for more than five years at a family office planning firm in New Jersey where he supported a senior advisor in performing sophisticated analyses of the personal finances of high net worth families, corporate executives, endowments, and foundations. He was also a member of the firm’s tax preparations department as well as a member of the investment committee.
